“i don’t use plastic bags –thanks”
Andresa Guareschi represents a new generation of communicators, who commit their knowledge of new media for spreading a new, evolving, global awareness on social and environmental matters.

Andresa Guareschi
Please describe what you do:
I like to think that I am somewhat like a Conscious Communicator. I have a degree in Advertising and post-graduate studies in Strategic Marketing. I’m convinced that dialogue and social networks are powerful tools, that properly used, can generate a positive impact in the world.
What do you enjoy most about what you do?
Researching and writing about new trends in communication in new media. Analyzing how new social technologies impact in the world community and in companies, creating a new way of communicating, working and building identity.
What is your inspiration?
The love for what I do, the love for knowledge, the love for the planet I live in, and for all beings with whom I share it.
How would you define luxury today? (or) What is, to you, the essence of luxury today?
¿Cómo definiría el lujo de hoy? (o) ¿Qué es para Ud. la esencia del lujo actual?
How would you define luxury today? (or) What is, to you, the essence of luxury today?
For me, Luxury is just to open a faucet and having drinking water coming out of it, because for 1 in every 3 people, this is an unimaginable reality. A luxury is to press a button and with just that a light bulb is on, because more than 2 million people must use biomass to cook. A luxury is to switch on a computer and access to a world web of citizens who are sharing knowledge and building in a collective way a reality that leaves aside 5.3 billion inhabitants of the world.
Eco-awareness is growing as is social consciousness and the need to be responsible towards our world and its people. What part do you play in this global mission?
My role as a professional in communication is to get this message across to the largest number of people as possible: Look after this planet, because there is not another one to escape to. My duty as a citizen is to live this message on a daily basis, bringing it to reality through my actions.

When and how did your project originate?
The Project I’ve been involved in in the last two years is called “El viaje del Odiseo” (“Odysee’s journey”) and it was born much before than that, as part of the vision of an entrepreneur, Ernesto Van Peborgh, who was able to gather a group of people that embraced this initiative and made it their own. Besides, my personal blog is a space to share this learning process and nurture from the collective intelligence that is generated through relationships that come up in the web.
What continues to be your vision for this project?
For me, Odiseo means the opportunity to develop a personal calling based on transmitting and living by fundamental values of a fair and successful community: the respect for oneself, for the fellow being, for the planet and for all the beings that live in it. The 2.oh! blog (two point oh!) is an attempt to share this vision and create conscience on these issues.
How are your creativity and passion an important part of this project?
We are creating projects within an ever changing reality, that is, many times, inexistent because it implies the use of tools that will be invented in the years to come. It’s a constant drill of imagining what is about to come, forecast the changes and adapt them to the reality that prevails in each moment.
If you were to choose a colour and an adjective to describe it, what would they be?
A colour, Light blue: a natural and universal colour that conveys peace, calmness, and harmony. Its fairest nuances are associated with health and tranquility and the darkest ones represent wisdom, power and integrity. Adjective: Collaborative, helpful. To offer solutions in a collective way, each one of us in our field, through an open and transparent process.
What is the message you wish to pass on?
We are all connected. We should be conscious of the existence of our fellow being and to understand that our freedom ends when the freedom of others begins.

Looks like a lot of xbox fans here, I am a fan also and like to play video games… my gf says I play too much, but man it’s so amusing. I’ve been playing cod: modern warfare 2 and halo for months and can’t stop! What would you gamers recommend? In any case, appears like a sweet blog, is this wordpress? I’ve made a few pages myself and it’s not easy. Cheers for taking time to writing this up.
